Horses For HOPE
Horses Are Healing
Horses have a measurable, science‑backed impact on human healing. Studies show that simply standing near a horse can synchronize a person’s heart rate with the horse’s naturally calm rhythm, increasing heart rate variability, a key marker of emotional resilience and reduced stress . Research also documents significant drops in cortisol—the body’s primary stress hormone—after equine‑assisted sessions, along with boosts in oxytocin, the hormone tied to trust and bonding. Controlled studies further confirm that equine‑assisted therapy improves anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, and addiction recovery outcomes, which is why it’s now used in more than 1,600 therapy centers across the U.S!

Our Mission
At HOPE, we strive to foster healing, connection, and personal growth through the powerful human-horse relationship - empowering individuals to overcome adversity and rediscover hope.
